Our prediction:
Do you remember the big night when we had the Chepauk Super Gillies and Dragons last match of the previous campaign? That’s when the Super Gillies won the match by 12 runs and also pocketed the trophy. Chepauk was crowned champions in a colourful event attended by famous personalities, with Shane Watson present as the chief guest. Nevertheless, that’s long gone, and this is another TNPL season, wide open for anyone to take. The last two sides to play in 2019 season meet again on 1st august 2021. Will Dindigul Dragons want to take their revenge on the Super boys? No one knows, but it will be settled on Sunday in the 19th match at Chidambaram.
CSP (40%) vs Dragons (60%)
CSG vs DD Analysis.
The Gillies are a point behind Dindigul as they head to their fourth match this season. They will undoubtedly be determined to reestablish their champions status in the league. This seems like a perfect opportunity, but not easy to take considering the outstanding Dindigul Dragons form this season.
Despite the Gillies’ winning consistency in past events, we appreciate that this is a new season, and the old glory may not be a factor here. On the other hand, the Dragons have set off their current campaign with outstanding performances. Therefore, our best Chepauk Super Gillies vs Dindigul Dragons prediction is for the latter to win.
Players to watch in the CSG vs DD match
The first players would be the top batters –Chepauk Gillies’ Narayan Jagadeesan and Dindigul Dragons’ K Mani Bharathi with 134.30 and 191.42 strike rates, respectively. The other players include:
- Uthirasamy Sasidev, Harish Kumar, and Rajagopal Sathish are in Chepauk’s side.
- Hari Nishaanth, Silambarasan, and Rangaraj Suthesh playing for the Dragons side.
From the player stats, form, and overall team performances as of the current season, all evidence points to Chepauk being the underdogs here.
